REX ENGINEERING provides structural analysis, design, calculation reports and drawings for steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures — residential, commercial and industrial.
Who we are
The practice is led by Suresh A., a structural engineer from India specializing in structural design and building-permit drawings for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
We work with homeowners, architects, contractors, developers and fabricators — preparing structural calculations, foundation plans, framing plans, beam and connection design, and structural revisions for new construction, additions, remodels and repairs. The work spans timber, steel, cold-formed steel, masonry and reinforced concrete.
How we work
Each project starts with the drawings and a clear scope. Where new work meets an existing building, existing footings, framing and connections are documented and flagged for field verification before they are relied on.
Drawings and calculations are developed together, so the members, connections and foundations on the plans match the numbers in the report. Analysis is done in STAAD.Pro, ETABS and Tekla Structural Designer, connections in IDEA StatiCa, and reports in Tekla Tedds.
Where we work
Completed work includes projects in California, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Michigan, Oregon, Florida, Georgia and Kentucky, plus India, the United Arab Emirates and Australia. US work follows the IBC / IRC and state codes; Indian work follows the Indian Standards (IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893).
