Steel Fence Base-Plate Anchorage
Mechanical-anchor and base-plate design for a steel mesh fence on a podium slab, from wind loads through anchor-group distribution to an FEM check of the steel connection.
Scope of work
- STAAD model of the fence (SHS 80×80×3 posts, S275) for dead, wind and temperature load combinations
- Wind actions per ASCE 7 (48 m/s basic wind speed)
- Anchor group design to EN 1992-4: 4 × FAZ II Plus 16/160 GS R anchors, hef = 160 mm, cracked C30/37 concrete
- 200×200×12 mm base plate with triangular stiffeners; FEM verification of the steel connection
- 400×400×400 mm foundation block, splitting control and installation / field detailing
