A tubular-steel metal building on the Texas Gulf Coast designed for a 150 mph ultimate wind speed, with single-leg frames, purlins, slab and base-rail anchorage.

Scope of work

  • Design criteria: IBC 2021, 150 mph ultimate wind (Exposure C), 20 psf design snow load
  • Foundation plan with strip footing, column, rafter and purlin layout plans
  • Single-leg 2½″×2½″×14 ga tubular columns and rafters at 5′-0″ frame spacing
  • Side-wall framing sections, slab / grade anchorage and connection details
