Steel Truss Canopy on Wide-Flange Columns
A mono-slope steel roof structure: HSS trusses spanning between W12×30 columns and W10×30 beams tied to existing masonry walls, analysed in Tekla Structural Designer.
Scope of work
- W12×30 columns and W10×30 (A992) beams with bolted plate connections to the existing masonry walls
- HSS 2½×2½×³⁄₁₆ truss chords and webs, HSS 5×5׳⁄₁₆ members and HSS 2×2×⅛ purlins
- 3D analysis and member design of the truss frame in Tekla Structural Designer
- Column base plates, anchor bolts and pad footings PB1–PB4 (3′×3′ and 4′×4′, 12″ deep)
- Layout plan, elevations, truss / purlin layout and foundation plan
